tarpaka: form of kapha dosha, found especially in the brain and spinal cord.

sveda vaha srotas: channel for the excretion of sweat.

Sutra: verses, used in Ayurveda to jog the memory and stimulate recall of specific information about diagnosis and treatment. See also Buddhist Sutra.

sukha: happiness and health; literally “good space.”

stanya vaha srotas: channel for breast milk.

srotamsi: channels in which vata flows, pathways of assimilation, digestion, and elimination. Includes the srotas that nourishes each dhatu, e.g., rasa vaha srotas, rakta vaha srotas, etc.

sneha: lavish love, related to meda.

shukra dhara kala: membrane related to transformation of elements by shukra agni.
